Experienced Greek rider Dimitri Natsis with his stallion Cresco pleased crowds at the IPPOS SPRING TOUR in Thessaloniki winning the main title of the day. In the Class 12 – 140cm, he managed to beat strong Italians when Roberto Previtali took silver with Hachiko and bronze went to Andrea Messersi with Quasimodo WH Molenhof in the two rounds competition.
Three CSIYH1* events for young horses Class 10 launched the program of the IPPOS SPRING TOUR 2024 in Thessaloniki on Saturday 18 May. The Class 10a for the 5-year-old horses on 115cm went the best for Luca Ruxandariu of Romania with Camirez. The 6-year-old horses jumping the 130cm obstacles were dominated by Damian Cojocariu of Romania with his Cashmere Blue. The best among the 7y horses on 1.35m was the Greek Dimitri Natsis with Corrie Z.
Also the main trophy of the day in the CSI 2* Class 12 with the 140cm obstacles and 24 starting horses stayed in same hands when Dimitri Natsis with his stallion Cresco dominated in the two phase competition.
“Τhis result was very good for me, the race went great. I must say that IPPOS SPRING TOUR is the best event in Greece by far. It is very close to foreign standards and the work done by the organizers is tremendous,” the winner said.
The CSI 2* Class 11 – 130cm welcomed 16 horses in the morning. The best performance came from Greek Stefania Bessiou withthe mare Amira.
In the afternoon, Romanian Aurel Cojocariu managed to defend his title in CSI 1* Class 13 – 120cm from last week with the mare Azur de Pepinvast in the competition with 35 horses on the start.
Last of the events in the program was the CSI 1* Class 14 – 105cm with 34 horses in the field. Same as one week ago, the race against the clock went best to the Greek rider Aggeliki Paraskevopoulou on Allouette Sauvageonne.
The competition will culminate on Sunday 19 May with last categories including the LR Grand Prix in the afternoon.
