Greece with the most victories in the first part of the IPPOS Spring Tour. Main titles went to Italy

The first series of the IPPOS SPRING TOUR 2024 in Thessaloniki (9 – 12 May 2024) showed a high level of horse jumping. Altogether 18 Classes welcomed riders from 14 countries with almost 200 horses to fight for the prize money of 87,000 Eur. The winner of the two highest Classes and the Grand Prix became Italian Roberto Previtali on Come on Semilly and Esteban de Hus.

The renewed IPPOS Club in Nea Raidestos, Thessaloniki, Greece, welcomed teams from European countries including Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, as well as the team of Brazil on its 151 acres of grounds. Experienced designer Paolo Rossato prepared a course with various obstacles on the top level surface.

Italian Roberto Previtali became the most successful rider from among almost 150 riders. He managed to win three titles in the highest classes including the LR Grand Prix (Class 17 – 145cm), with three horses: Hachiko, Come on Semilly and Esteban de Hus (the LR Grand Prix winner). The 31-year-old Italian will also start in the second part of the IPPOS Spring Tour next weekend (16 – 19 May).

In the LR Grand Prix Silver position of the Grand Prix stayed in Greece thanks to experienced Dimitri Natsis on Cresco. The next Italian Andrea Messersi managed to take bronze with his Lady Royal Fortuna.

The next successful rider became Aurel Cojocariu of Romania winning four categories with his horses Hamilton, Kansas B and two titles with Azur de Pepinvast. The horse with the most titles comes from Greece when young Tjebert van de Marsweg with Dimitri Natsis managed to win three Classes of the 5-year-old horses.

Two titles went to Dicaprio with Apostol Tenev of Bulgaria among 6-year-old horses. Then two victories went to Cindy of Anna Irene Goset, Cyprus.

The most successful country with nine victories was Greece. Bulgaria took five victories, Romania four wins and Cyprus two. One victory went to Brazil. Roberto Previtali managed to win three titles including the main Grand Prix for Italy.
