Previtali predominant also on Week 2 of IPPOS SPRING TOUR 2024

After the first leg of the IPPOS SPRING TOUR 2024 in Thessaloniki (9 – 12 May 2024), the tournament continued in following week 16 – 19 May. Riders from all over Europe and Brazil showed a high level of horse jumping in 18 Classes of the competition with the huge number of 564 starts. The two highest Classes and the Grand Prix winner became Italian Roberto Previtali on Esteban de Hus and Hachiko and thus repeated the success from a week before.

The renewed IPPOS Club in Nea Raidestos, Thessaloniki, Greece, welcomed teams of approximately 150 athletes with a total of 240 horses, representing 14 countries (North Macedonia, Brazil, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Cyprus, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and Greece). On its 151 acres of grounds, the fans had the chance to see altogether 564 performances for the fight of the prize money totalling 87,000 EUR.

Two most successful nations were Greece with 9 victories and Romania with 8 wins. Italy took three titles, all thanks to the 31-year-old rider Roberto Previtali. The most successful Greek rider became Dimitri Natsis, GRE with three victories including the precious trophy from CSI 2* Class 12 – 140cm with Cresco. Next success came for Romanian Cojocariu family, when Aurel Cojocariu took two and Damian Cojocariu took also two wins. The next successful Romanian rider with two trophies was Ionut Ursache.

Italian Roberto Previtali became the most successful rider from among almost 150 riders. He managed to win three titles: CSI 2* Class 5 – 135cm with Hachiko, CSI 2* Class 7 – 145cm with Esteban de Hus andCSI 2* LR Grand Prix – Class 17 – 145cm also with Esteban de Hus. The stallion Esteban de Hus thus became also the most successful horse of the whole IPPOS SPRING TOUR 2024 in Thessaloniki.
