An even greater number of top-level riders and horses will be part of the second four-day event of the International Show Jumping Competition IPPOS SPRING TOUR 2024, which will take place from 16 to 19 May at the excellent facilities of the Ippos Club in Nea Raidestos, Thessaloniki, Greece.
Following the successful first leg of the event. last week (9-12 May) and the necessary rest days in between, athletes and their horses are ready to compete for new distinctions, testing their skills on unique courses designed by Italian Elio Travagliati.
The event is included in the official competition calendar of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) and features four distinct categories that award points for the world ranking (ranking classes), while also offering the winners a total prize pool of 174,000 euros, along with the opportunity to get better acquainted with the state-of-the-art facilities of the Ippos Club, which has quickly gained international recognition and is considered the most modern equestrian center in the Balkans.
The IPPOS SPRING TOUR features approximately 150 athletes with a total of 240 horses, representing 14 countries (North Macedonia, Brazil, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Cyprus, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and Greece). Among them will be the triumphant Italian Roberto Previtali, who during the first four-day event (9-12 May) won in the three highest categories, including the Grand Prix with obstacles of 1.45m, with his horses Hachiko, Come on Semilly, and Esteban de Hus, who triumphed in the Grand Prix.
Also present will be Greek champions such as Aikaterini Laskaridi, Kriton Zafeiropoulos, Alexandros Fourlis, and Athanasia-Maria Kyriakopoulou, with the ambition to achieve even more distinctions in an event that continuously raises the bar for participation and has already established itself as an international institution.
